Hoar Cross Hall, the Barons Eden-owned luxury hotel and spa located in the heart of Staffordshire, has reopened its doors following an extensive £14 million refurbishment.
Known as one of Europe’s largest and most luxurious spas, and a Staffordshire gem, the refurb saw the 150-year-old property’s 97 bedrooms, three restaurants, award-winning full-service spa and communal areas, all receive significant upgrades.
The refurbishment is the most extensive in the history of the property, and guests can look forward to enjoying luxury décor throughout, with each bedroom showcasing its own classic aesthetic and quirky modern details. In addition to the updated décor, some bedrooms also include extra features, such as freestanding baths overlooking the rolling grounds and hot tubs located on private exterior terraces.
Visitors will also be able to enjoy fine dining in the hotel’s Grand Ballroom and full use of the extensive spa facilities including the saltwater vitality pool, hydrotherapy pool, aqua detox, aqua massage, sensory showers, cold plunge pool, Nordic Heat & Ice Suite, with a collection of ten heated rooms, snooze room and sanctum. Guests will also experience expert-led treatments, healing body and soul, from the comfort of the Royal Suite’s private treatment room.
The impressive refurbishment will see Hoar Cross Hall continue championing Barons Eden’s sustainability strategy, which involves all aspects of operations at it’s two properties. The company conducts sustainability reviews quarterly across its business and factors in the environment in its everyday decision making at management level.
The company has set itself a target of being a zero-landfill organisation and recycles its paper, cardboard, glass and batteries. It also uses low energy light bulbs wherever possible and operates a ‘switch off’ policy in all areas, turning lights and computers off when not in use.
Barons Eden Director, Edward Law, said “Our team are so excited to be welcoming our guests back to Hoar Cross Hall following what has been an incredibly challenging year for all. Hoar Cross Hall truly is the perfect retreat to relax and restore mind and body – and following the extensive refurbishment, we are even prouder to open our doors for guests to experience it.”
