The Sustainable Spa Association (SSA) has partnered with business technology and digital solutions specialist ZING – and Gaia Together – to create a new carbon offset donation service for their booking software clients. The new service will enable spa operators to begin accepting donations from guests towards the offsetting of the carbon footprint generated by their visit.
ZING is a complete end to end solution for spas and salons that offers businesses all the digital tools they need to run and grow their business.
Paul Cameron, ZING co-founder, said: “We’re delighted to be partnering with SSA and Gaia to offer wellness businesses the opportunity to provide a carbon offset donation to clients.
“Consumers’ environmental awareness – and their want to play a positive role in improvements – is significantly increasing. We’re excited to provide a solution that enables this and the feedback we’ve received from both businesses and clients has been really encouraging.
“We can also see broader opportunities for this simple means for customers of ZING businesses and look forward to exploring them more with the SSA.”
Created by ZING, the system will give guests three different donation options – for example, US$2, US$5 and US$10 (but offered in the business’ local currency). Customers can donate while making online bookings, filling out digital forms and also at the point of sale while at the spa.
The easy-to-use service is part of SSA’s strategy to help provide guest-facing solutions and cater for the increased interest in customers doing their bit to save the planet.
